OpenGill ("OpenGill," "we," "us," or "our") is a personal financial-guidance application operated by Tricor Capital LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information OpenGill collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using OpenGill, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Financial account information. When you choose to connect a financial account, we collect account and transaction data through our data-connectivity provider, Plaid — for example, account names and balances, transaction history, account and routing identifiers, and account-holder details made available by your institution.
Information you provide. Details you enter directly, such as your goals, retirement preferences, manually added assets or liabilities, and settings.
Usage and technical data. Basic information needed to operate the service securely, such as authentication events and application logs.

How we use your information

To provide the core service: analyzing your finances and giving you personalized insights, answers, and retirement guidance.
To operate, secure, maintain, and improve the application.
To communicate with you about the service when necessary.

We use your information to help you and only you. We do not sell your personal or financial information, and we do not share it for advertising or marketing by third parties.

How we share information

We share information only as needed to run the service:

Plaid — to connect to your financial institutions and retrieve account data, as described below.
Service providers — vendors that provide infrastructure or AI processing strictly to deliver OpenGill's features, under obligations of confidentiality and limited to that purpose.
Legal — where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

Plaid

OpenGill uses Plaid Inc. ("Plaid") to connect your accounts. By connecting an account, you also agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy. Plaid's collection and use of your information is governed by that policy. OpenGill's access to your accounts is read-only; OpenGill cannot move funds or initiate transactions.

How we store and protect your information

Your data is stored on access-controlled, private infrastructure and transmitted over encrypted connections. We restrict access to your information and apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may disconnect a linked institution at any time, and you may request that we delete your data by contacting us at the address below. We will delete it except where we are required to retain it by law.

Your choices and rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may unlink connected accounts at any time. To make a request, contact us using the details below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.

Children

OpenGill is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
